5 healthy smoothies for diabetic patients
In making smoothies for diabetic patients, we need to consider the fruits that are low in sugar, with enough veggies. Smoothie is better for a diabetic patient than juice because of the fibre content in smoothie
Smoothie recipe 1
Pear & orange smoothie
A cup of Coconut milk
Wash, peel & remove the orange skin, then cut the orange.
Wash, core the pear, and dice.
Pour the coconut milk, diced apple & orange into a blender jar, blend till smooth, and serve!
Smoothie recipe 2
2 medium sized cucumber.
Half a medium cabbage.
A cup of almond milk.
Half teaspoon of ginger powder.
Direction: wash your cucumber, and slice.
Wash your cabbage, cut in pieces, wash again with salty warm water & pat dry.
Pour milk, cucumber, cabbage & ginger in a blender, blend till smooth, and serve!

2 handfuls of pumpkin (ugu) leaves
A handful of Spinach
A cup of diced unripe pawpaw
A teaspoon of ginger
1 tablespoon of honey(optional)
your veggies with salt, and slice
Put all ingredients in a blender, blend till smooth, & serve!

Grapes fruit & orange smoothie
1 big grapefruit
1/2 teaspoon of ginger
A pinch of salt to taste
Wash, peel, remove the fruits skin, cut in pieces & blend all ingredients together till smooth, then serve!

5 big white guava
1 green apple
A cup of coconut milk
5 almond nuts
Direction: wash & remove guava seeds, cut & core your apple.
